The Birdrock Story

Creating gorgeous wheel thrown ceramics is my absolute passion. I love that my ceramics are enjoyed as part of every day living and bring joy to others.

My earliest memory of clay, is digging it out of the side of a hill on the back of our family farm. I would bring it home and shape out figures and animals with whatever came with the clay. Whether it was grass, dirt or stones, it all went in and became part of my creations and I loved it.

Today my medium is a little more refined, but no less enjoyable. Walking into an evening class in 2017 believing I was taking up a hobby, fast turned into something more. Taking the plunge to turn a creative passion into a business, is an opportunity to share what I love with friends, family and those friends and lovers of ceramics I am yet to meet.

Today I work out of my home studio located in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula, the traditional lands of the Boon Wurrung/Bunurong people. I continue to draw inspiration from my life, travel, experiences and the beauty I experience daily in this part of the world. It is a privilege to be able to share what I love with you.
